BofA Securities analyst Rafe Jadrosich downgraded Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR) from Neutral to Underperform with a price target of $70.00 (from $100).
The analyst commented: "We downgrade Whirlpool (WHR) to Underperform (from Neutral) and lower our PO to $70 (from $100) following disappointing 2Q25 earnings/guidance and dividend cut. WHR reported 2Q25 EPS of $1.34 vs. our forecast of $1.47 and lowered 2025 ongoing EPS guidance to $6-$8 (from $10). We lower our 2025/2026 EPS estimates by (22%)/(23%). We lower our PO to $70 based on 7.0x our 2026E EBITDA (vs. prior 7.6x) to reflect the dividend cut and elevated leverage. WHR will host its 2Q call on July 29th at 8AM ET."
