RBC Capital analyst Deane Dray lowered the price target on Honeywell International (NASDAQ: HON) to $218.00 (from $222.00) while maintaining a Sector Perform rating.
The analyst commented: "Sector Perform-rated Honeywell announced the closing of the $4.95 bil Carrier security acquisition, updated guidance for the deal, and announced its move to cash EPS. We would not expect any of this to be stock-moving. The underlying guidance metrics issued last quarter were all reiterated, with the key changes being the inclusion of the Carrier business in 2Q24/2024 guidance and the additional financing expense. The acquisition should be neutral to cash EPS in 2024. We support the move to cash EPS, moving Honeywell’s reporting in-line with peers. Restated financials will be provided with 2Q24 earnings."
