Universal Corp. (UVV) Raises Quarterly Dividend 1.3% to $0.77; 6.8% Yield

Universal Corp. (NYSE: UVV) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.77 per share, or $3.08 annualized. This is a 1.3% increase from the prior dividend of $0.76.

The dividend will be payable on August 3, 2020, to stockholders of record on July 13, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of July 10, 2020.

The annual yield on the dividend is 6.8 percent.

Mr. Freeman noted, "Today's dividend increase is a milestone for our company. It is our 50th consecutive annual dividend increase, and we are very proud of this achievement. It represents the continuation of our strong record of returning value to our shareholders through our consistent dividend delivery. We have raised our common dividend every year since 1971."
