Whirlpool (WHR) Raises Quarterly Dividend 4.5% to $1.15; 3% Yield

Whirlpool (NYSE: WHR) declared a quarterly dividend of $1.15 per share, or $4.6 annualized. This is a 4.5% increase from the prior dividend of $1.10.
The dividend will be payable on June 15, 2018, to stockholders of record on May 18, 2018, with an ex-dividend date of May 17, 2018.
The annual yield on the dividend is 3 percent.
"We are increasing our dividend for the sixth consecutive year, a clear example of our commitment to returning strong levels of cash to shareholders," said Marc Bitzer, chief executive officer of Whirlpool Corporation. "We remain confident in our plans for long-term value creation, and will continue to execute our balanced approach to capital allocation."
