SINGAPORE, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Oil prices dropped more than 1% at Monday's open as concerns about a possible conflict in the Middle East between the U.S. and Iran eased after both countries finished a round of talks on Friday.
Brent crude futures fell 89 cents, or 1.31%, to $67.16 a barrel by 2309 GMT.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $62.76 a barrel, down 79 cents, or 1.24%.

SYDNEY, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Pro-Palestine demonstrators plan to rally in Sydney on Monday to protest the visit by Israeli President Isaac Herzog, as authorities declared his visit a major event and deployed thousands of police to manage the crowds.

SINGAPORE, Feb 9 (Reuters) - DBS Group, Singapore's biggest bank, posted fourth-quarter net profit on Monday that was down 10% over the same period a year earlier, mainly due to lower net interest margin.
DBS, which is also Southeast Asia's largest bank by assets, said October-December net profit dropped to S$2.26 billion ($1.78 billion) from S$2.52 billion a year earlier.

HONG KONG, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai is set to be sentenced on Monday in the financial hub's most high-profile national security case, amid growing calls to free the longstanding critic of the Chinese Communist Party whose health is frail.

MEXICO CITY, Feb 8 (Reuters) - A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck near Puerto Escondido in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca on Sunday, Mexico’s national seismological service said. A seismic alarm went off in Mexico City but shaking was not felt in the capital, according to Reuters witnesses.
