PARIS (Reuters) - Hundreds of police fanned out across northern France on a massive manhunt for a fugitive gangster known as "The Fly" on Wednesday, a day after he was sprung from a prison van by gunmen in an attack that killed two prison guards.

(Reuters) - Entrepreneur and former Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt said on Wednesday his non profit Project Liberty is forming a consortium to buy social media platform TikTok in the United States.
A law signed by President Joe Biden on April 24 gives the social media platform's owner, ByteDance, until Jan. 19 next year to sell TikTok or face a ban.

(Reuters) - Britain's competition regulator referred Japan-based DJ equipment maker AlphaTheta's proposed deal to acquire New Zealand's Serato to a lengthier probe on Wednesday.
The move to launch a phase 2 investigation comes two weeks after the Competition and Markets Authority's (CMA) initial probe found that the deal could weaken competition and reduce innovation, choice, and access to DJ equipment and software.
