General Motors (GM) Taps Outside Law Firm to Review Legal Practices - WSJ

General Motors (NYSE: GM) has tapped n outside law firm to review the way it handles litigation.
The news comes from a testimony prepared by GM's General Counsel, Michael Millikin, for a Senate hearing on Thursday.
The WSJ said Millikin plans to say the company has hired "a well-respected outside law firm" that will conduct a "zero-based review" of his department.
Millikin also plans to say that some GM lawyers didn't do their jobs and that he wasn't informed of the ignition switch issue until last February. Reports point to GM lawyers having evidence of the issue as of April 2013.
Shares of GM are down 0.1 percent.
