ARIAD Pharma (ARIA) Criticized in Tweet by Bernie Sanders

Shares of ARIAD Pharma (NASDAQ: ARIA) plunged Friday following a tweet by Senator and former presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders. Sanders tweeted a STAT article from Oct. 7th discussing an increase in the price of ARIAD's leukemia drug, Iclusig.

Sanders said drug corporations' greed is "unbelievable."

You have NO IDEA what you're talking about Senator. Yes, they may be greedy, but that doesn't change the fact that you're CLUELESS about what it costs to advance medical science -- we're talking SEVERAL BILLIONS. And who the hell is supposed to fund that Senator? Main Street investors? And then get stiffed by you and your idiotic clueless comments? Get a clue Senator. I had some respect for you but am quickly losing it over your stupid remarks. I'm not an investor in ARIAD but have followed the company and its struggles. These are not thieves as you portray them. They're advancing medical science and that costs money...DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
