Beef/Pork I'm no youngster but I'm really upset that every piece of beef I buy is tough! I think it's time to put some fat back in the beef, let it hang longer and get us folks some decent beef. The only beef I can buy that is partly tender is a tenderloin of beef and a pork tender. Even a pork chop you have to pound the hell (no offense) out of it. You may not believe this but it is absolutely true!! I can remember cutting a T-bone steak with a fork. Yes, that is correct, a fork. No knife needed. Of course, I was about 21 years old and at that time my father purchase a side of beef and they kept it at the 'locker' and we would pick up what we needed. I really don't care if I don't live to 90 years old. I want some FAT back in my beef and pork otherwise I may become a fish/fowl eater. I know I am no the only one who feels this way. The do-gooders are the ones who are going to kill us. Last time I fixed a piece of chicken breast (I cooked it) the meat texture was a little mealy. It was the last two pieces in the bag (frozen) so maybe that has something to do with it. However, I personally think it's sinful what has been done to beef/pork/chicken in the name of GOOD HEALTH. We ate pullets on the farm. Most people never even heard that word. PLEASE, PLEASE do something to make the meat better!!

3M's New Flu Test I am surprised that this article didn't mention Response Biomedical (TSX: RBM), which makes the rapid flu test marketed by 3M as the 3M Rapid Detection Flu A + B Test. It was just launched in the fall and is a more accurate and sophisticated test than the other point of care tests on the market, like Quidel. By the way, RBM is also partnered with Roche (maker of Tamiflu) in an agreement to supply all of Roche's point of care cardiology tests and Cardiac Readers, which just launched in March of April.

Deplorable results How is it possible to have such poor managment in the food industry at a time when demand is stable and food prices have been raised to offset food cost production.
