Despite Lehman failure... Hats off to the Wall Street gurus who pulled off deals despite the carnage for example Teva's successful takeover of Barr was represented by Lehman until the venerable finance house went belly up. Nevertheless the deal close on time.

GM Management I cannot believe Rick Wagoner described him and his team of executives as the best management team in the country. Is his ego big or what? Shares went from $64 when he took over as CEO to less than $5 today. That to me does not sound like good management. Also, what is with all the men. Women are the primary buyer of new cars. Why are they still living in the 1950's? Statistics show that companies that have a more diverse workforce are 65% more productive than companies without diversity. Maybe that is GM's main problem. Overpaid men that participate in groupthink with no fresh ideas or perspectives.

Fbi THREATENS COMS Recent collapse of the value of COMS stock price follows threats by the fbi ( & CIFUS) to prevent the now defunct contract of sale between Bain and COMS on “Security Concerns”. The truth is that the fbi sought to use COMS staff and associates for intelligence purpose inside CHINA; COMS board of directors and officers resisted such spy-motivated overtures and thereby impliedly rebuked the government’s unlawful tactics and intrusive meddling efforts and refused to allow the company to be so manipulated. As a result of the COMS integrity and honesty, the fbi (using Bain as its conduit for negotiations with COMS) insured that COMS corporation would suffer heavy unofficial penalties for failure to ‘cooperate’. Quite possibly the fbi also made clear to COMS that its contract with government agencies concerning Tipping Point would also be in jeopardy if COMS fails to comply with fbi hidden agenda. Bain, in the meanwhile, was all too willing to fully assist the fbi after Bain gains control of COMS. The problem is that Bain decided to change the terms of the above mentioned contract by lowering the offering price substantially in order to satisfy the fbi’s dirty intentions which are: 1) Take over the Tipping Point business entirely by placing that company under the control of an fbi/cia operative; 2) Reorganize COMS global operations with a focus on China operations wherein the fbi would insert a large contingency of fbi agents, informants, operatives, and potential double agents. Such a reorganization would inevitably cause a disruption in the COMS business model and thereby lead to a reduction of expected earnings capabilities. Meanwhile China, which has great respect for (and continues a friendly and cooperative relationship with ) COMS is watching the fbi antics with great interest. Any abrupt changes in officers, managers and employees would set off little alarm bells in the Chinese business community and would thereafter turn the COMS business model into an intelligence laughing stock (no pun intended). The near complete failure of the fbi/cia to infiltrate the Chinese business community and the almost total lack of inside information regarding Chinese military capabilities are sources of consternation for the hoodlums in the fbi/cia, in connection with their goals of world inhumane domination. Their incompetence in this regard is punctuated by their criminal interference with the legitimate business concern of COMS which promises, even now, to offer great financial advantages (and improved international relationships) for the company, its Chinese affiliates, investors and the global business community. For now COMS continues to deal with the artificial challenges occasioned by the fbi’s unlawful interference (via a failed intelligence coup). COMS is poised for growth, especially given the renewed confidence of all of its affiliates and associates around the world. No one wants the fbi/ cia punks to dominate legitimate businesses.
