Pandora (P) Listener Hours, Active Listeners Improve in May; Market Share Keeps Sliding

Pandora Media (NYSE: P) shares are ticking higher early following an update on May operating metrics.

For the month of May 2013, Pandora said listener hours improved 22 percent to 1.35 billion, active listeners rose 33 percent to 70.8 million, and share of U.S. radio listening improved 1.49 points to 7.29 percent Gains in the same period last year were 87 percent, 52 percent, and 2.72 points, respectively.

In April 2013, Pandora said listener hours improved 24 percent to 1.31 billion, active listeners rose 35 percent to 70.1 million, and share of U.S. radio listening was at 7.33 percent.

Metrics for March 2013 include: listener hours of 1.49 billion, active listeners of 69.5 million, and market share of 8.05 percent.

Pandora is up 1.3 percent early.
