Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) may not use BusinessWire to release its earnings on October 15, according to Business Insider. Instead the company will release its earnings on its own website and Twitter, the report said.
BusinessWire plans to talk to the company about the change and may convince the company to change its mind.
In August, authorities made insider trading arrest after hackers uncovered market moving information from company press releases at PRNewswire, Marketwired, and Business Wire ahead of their public release. It is unclear if the move by Goldman Sachs is related.
BusinessWire is owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK-A) (NYSE: BRK-B).
