Bridgepoint Education (BPI) Tops Q2 EPS by 14c

Bridgepoint Education (NYSE: BPI) reported Q2 EPS of $0.28, $0.14 better than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter came in at $171.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $168.88 million.

Other highlights:

• Total student enrollment at period end was 61,117
• Operating income was $22.4 million compared with $19.1 million for the same period in 2013.
• Net income was $13.0 million compared with $12.1 million for the same period in 2013.
