UPDATE: Apollo Group, Inc. (APOL) Tops Q3 EPS by 10c, Tightens FY14 Revenue Guidance

Apollo Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: APOL) reported Q3 EPS of $0.76, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $0.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $799.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $794.43 million.

As University of Phoenix continued to realign its operations during the third quarter 2014, University of Phoenix New Degreed Enrollment decreased 12.9% to 33,900 and Degreed Enrollment decreased 15.9% to 241,900, compared to the same period a year ago.

Apollo sees FY2014 revenue of $3.04 - $3.06 billion, versus prior $3-$3.1 billion and the consensus of $3.05 billion. It expects operating income of $420 to $435 million, excluding the impact of special item.
