When consumers complain, Ford (NYSE: F) listens.
The WSJ reports Monday that Ford is planning to add in more buttons and knobs to its MyFord Touch platform. The system received complaints when it was introduced a few years back, with many reports calling the system difficult to use. MyFord Touch runs on touch-based and voice activated controls.
It wasn't made clear what model year would see the upgraded controls. Ford announced today that 80 percent of its customers purchase a vehicle with Sync or MyFord Touch system.
The MyFord Touch and Sync were developed in collaboration with Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT). Ford is up 1.9 percent Monday afternoon.
