Millions Reported to Experience Netflix (NFLX) Outage (AMZN)

Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) is lower in early trading following reports of outages overnight.

According to the official Netflix US Twitter account and CNET, an outage hit at about 6:45pm EDT and affected millions of subscribers in several different markets.

A spokesperson told CNET, "We're aware that some members are having trouble streaming TV shows and movies and are working to address the problem."

At 9:45pm EDT, it was reported that the outage improved and many were able to stream content once again.

Traders should keep an eye on Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) give that Netflix utilized Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a host in the U.S.

While Netflix is indicated lower early Thursday, Amazon is slightly positive.
