AMN Healthcare Services, Inc. (NYSE: AHS) shares are up in early trading Wednesday as CEO Susan Salka spoke with Jim Cramer late Tuesday.
A perfect storm is brewing in America's health care system, Salka noted. Not only are aging baby boomers requiring more services, but Obamacare is adding millions of insured patients. The combo is leading to a shortage of doctors and nurses, meaning AMN's staffing solutions will be in even greater demand.
More than just staffing solutions, AMN is now providing hospitals with a platform that allows for better planning of future growth through improved analytics.
AMN is also good as an employer for qualified doctors and nurses, matching the right people to the right job.
Shares of AMN are up about 1 percent in morning trade.
