Herbalife (HLF) Hires New Auditor to Ackman's Chagrin

Just how much squeeze can be left in Herbalife (NYSE: HLF)?

After making pubic he was short $1 billion of Herbalife stock last December, Bill Ackman, of Pershing Square, must be feeling a little pinch by now. The trader has seen shares of Herbalife gain well over 40 percent before news really hit the shares.

At the $50 to $51 range, Herbalife still isn't at a 52-week high realized in the middle of last year, but Ackman can't be sleeping well at night right about now.

Someone who can't smile enough is activist investor Carl Icahn, who recently reported holding a near-16 percent stake in the company.

After announcing a new auditor, Herbalife is up about 2 percent on the session.
