JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) CEO Jamie Dimon might not be out of the chairman role quite yet.
The NY Times reported earlier that a preliminary tally of votes from the annual shareholders meeting points to defeat of a measure that would split the two roles.
No margin of victory was given. The Times notes that votes are still being submitted and the final results could change.
Members of JPMorgan's risk committee also appear to have favorable votes.
Shares of JPMorgan are indicated higher as its annual meeting gets under way Tuesday.
