Boeing's (BA) Flagship 787 Will Return to Service, United (UAL) to Make First Flight

After a months-long hiatus, Boeing's (NYSE: BA) 787 Dreamliner is set to fly once again.
United Continental (NYSE: UAL) is the only U.S. operator with a 787 in its fleet. The airline is set to commence flights with the aircraft via an 11am flight from Houston, TX, to Chicago, IL, on Monday. Passengers on the flight will include Boeing Chief Executive Officer Jim McNerney and United CEO Jeff Smisek.
The grounding of the 787 on January 16th followed several incidents with two Japanese airlines and was the first grounding of an entire fleet for Boeing since 1979.
Other international carriers returning the 787 to service include Qatar Airways Ltd., Ethiopian Airlines Enterprise, and Air India Ltd.
Shares of Boeing are down 0.3 percent on the session.
