Analysts at Imperial Capital are pleased with the decision from Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) to establish a dividend and share repurchase plan. Amid the news the firm reiterated their Outperform rating and raised their price target from $20 to $23.
Delta Air introduced a $0.06 quarterly dividend and announced a $500 million share repurchase plan.
"We view the capital return plan as further evidence of Delta's leadership among Legacies. We are increasing our target price based on a multiple, as we believe the company's meaningful dividend merits a premium valuation among its peers," analyst Bob McAdoo said.
