Near-Record Opening Weekend for 'Iron Man 3' in U.S. Bolsters Disney (DIS) Shares

Following-up from last weekend's data, "Iron Man 3" (IM3) had a strong debut in the U.S. last weekend.
Marvel's IM3 pulled in about $175.3 million in domestic box office receipts, making it the second-largest opening weekend draw since "The Avengers" took in $207.4 million last year.
Along with $504.8 million in international receipts, IM3 has taken in $680.1 million since its debut.
Marvel is owned by Disney. Shares are up in early trading.
