Ford (F) Reports Strong Q1, March Sales Results in China

Ford Motor (NYSE: F) shares are ticking higher early following strong sales news out of one of its key growth markets.
According to data from the company, Ford and its joint ventures in China saw a 65 percent vehicle sales increase in March, to 81,387 units. First-quarter 2013 sales improved 54 percent to 186,600 units, Ford noted.
Ford's 50-50 joint venture Changan Ford Automobile Co. sold 55,348 units, for a year-over-year gain of 102 percent.
The automaker is up about 0.5 percent early.
