Microsoft (MSFT) Pushes Back Initial Debut of Next-Gen Xbox Console

Following earlier reports that Microsoft might use AMD's (NYSE: AMD) system-on-a-chip design for the next-generation Xbox console, other news out today pegs the debut of the device happening slightly later than originally planned.
TheVerge said today that Microsoft pushed back the initial detailing of the tentatively-named Durango (or "Xbox 720" to most media outlets) will be on May 21st, from an original date set for April 24th.
Full unveiling should happen at the video game industry's biggest event, E3, which takes place in Los Angles in June. Microsoft is still pushing for a 2013 launch of the final product.
Shares are down 0.7 percent Monday.
