Red Hat (RHT) Peers on Watch Following Q4 as 'Ghost of Oracle' (ORCL) Shows Up

Shares of Citrix (Nasdaq: CTXS), VMWare (NYSE: VMW), F5 Networks (Nasdaq: FFIV), Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR), Riverbed (Nasdaq: RVBD), and others are lower Wednesday night following quarterly results from peer Red Hat (NYSE: RHT).
Despite mixed Q413 results, which included EPS of 36 cents and revs of $348 million, versus consensus views calling for EPS of 30 cents and revs of $349.6 million, adjusted operating margin fell 2 points to 24 percent, which might cause some investor concern.
Oracle saw the same type of action last week when it reported quarterly results. Shares fell 9.7 percent the following session.
Red Hat is down about 10 percent late Wednesday.
