salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) could shift its entire interface around soon.
According to TechCrunch, which cites a presentation CEO Marc Benioff gave in Boston, salesforce.com will make its Chatter platform into the new interface for the system.
Chatter is an activity stream platform which was recently updated to include mobile devices.
Some see the move as bold and risky, but given the rise in popularity for such sites as Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) and Twitter, it is clear that consumers are becoming more comfortable with that sort of platform.
Shares of salesforce.com are up 1.7 percent Friday.
