March 20, 2013 9:09 AM EDT
Amzon (Nasdaq: AMZN) has a solid e-Book library and is building its digital TV/movie content, so what's next?

How about music?

According to TheVerge, Amazon is already in discussions with labels over a subscription music service. Talks are said to be informal and very early.

Pandora (NYSE: P) and Spotify are said to be the leaders in the streaming music market. Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) and Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) have both showed interest as well.

For Amazon, many of the key elements are already in place to launch such a service. It already has 10 million Amazon Prime members, cloud storage, and its Cloud Music player.

Amazon and Pandora are both indicated for a higher open Wednesday.
