J.C. Penney (NYSE: JCP) is having another unbelievable sales. Literally.
As noted on CNBC this afternoon, J.C. Penney is circulating a coupon offering $5 off a purchase of $5 or more. The coupon is valid through March 10, 2013, and, yes, that is a link to it.
The deal follows up on a coupon issued in February, which tried to lure in shoppers via a $10 off a $10 purchase. That ran through February 18, 2013.
Both offers were also valid with online purchases.
Clearly, CEO Ron Johnson and crew are hoping that shoppers spend a little more when they come in with coupon in hand. But, after offering $10 just one month ago, why halve the deal now?
Shares of J.C. Penney are off about 2.9 percent Wednesday afternoon.
