Zynga (Nasdaq: ZNGA) is n positive territory Friday amid release of a new mobile game.
Bloomberg reports that Zynga released "What's the Phrase" for Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhones. This is the first app from OMGPop, Inc., the team behind "Draw Something."
Zynga is releasing the game as it looks to distance itself from Facebook (Nasdaq: FB), where Zynga has been seeing slower growth lately.
"What's the Phrase" is said to take on the stylings of the popular TV game show "Wheel of Fortune," explained Zynga Chief Operations Officer David Ko this week. Players take turns guessing letters to the hidden phrase.
The game should be released for Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android devices soon, though no time line was given.
Shares of Zynga are up about two percent.
