Ralph Lauren (NYSE: RL) is ticking higher Tuesday amid a positive mention from Jim Cramer on Monday night.
Cramer added Ralph Lauren to his "Gatsby Index," which is an index made up of higher-end stocks which may not be an immediate buy, but will give investors an index of what luxury buyers are doing.
He noted that, while peer Coach (NYSE: COH) may have "fallen behind" with fashions, Ralph Lauren is a great growth name that just delivered a 12-cent-per-share earnings beat.
Other retail names in the "Gatsby Index" include lululemon athletica (Nasdaq: LULU), Michael Kors (NYSE: KORS), and Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN).
