Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk is commenting today on Bloomberg TV.
Musk said the company is gearing for a "rapid expansion" into Europe with the Model S. Shipments will begin in June/July, with 10,000 to 12,000 units expected to initially be shipped.
Germany will be the largest market for Tesla, Musk noted.
Shares of Tesla are slightly lower in early trading Monday.
