Harvest Natural Resources (NYSE: HNR) shares are off of intra-session highs Wednesday, shooting higher earlier on the session amid comments from Venezuelan oil minister Rafael Ramirez.
Bloomberg reports this afternoon that Venezuela is still evaluating a proposed asset sale.
Last year, Harvest said it would be interested in selling a 32 percent in its Petrodelta venture to Indonesia's Pertamina Persero. Ramirez said today that the sale has been delayed because some of the reserves still belong to the Venezuelan state. He said that both the buyer and seller know what needs to be done in order to get state approval.
Shares of Harvest are up about 4.5 percent.
