The latest short interest data confirms that Yahoo!, Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) is no longer the laughing stock of Wall Street.
Over the past two weeks, short interest in Yahoo! has decreased a sharp 35 percent to 13,563,880 shares. Just before Marissa Mayer was named CEO on July 16, 2012, short interest in Yahoo! was 37,577,401 shares, or 177 percent higher.
The latest short interest data is near an all-time low. The last time it was this low was October 1996, just months after its IPO.
