Apple (AAPL) Retains Spot as Top Mobile OEM in U.S. Through December '12 (GOOG) (MSFT)

comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR) reported U.S. smartphone subscriber market share for the three-months ended December 2012 today.

In total, Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) topped at the top OEM with 36.3 percent of the market, up 2 basis points from September 2012. Samsung was second at 21.0 percent, up 2.3 points, HTC third at 10.2 percent, down 1.8 points, Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Motorola fourth at 9.1 percent, down 0.7 points, and LG fifth at 7.1 percent, up 0.5 points.

For overall smartphone operating system share, Google's Android came in first at 53.4 percent, gaining 0.9 points. Apple iOS was next, rising 2 points to 36.3 percent, BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) was third, dropping 2 points to 6.4 percent, Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows Phone was fourth, losing 0.7 points to 2.9 percent, and Symbian rounded out the top five with a 0.6 percent share.
