Pandora (NYSE: P) is higher on the session as peer Sirius XM (Nasdaq: SIRI) slumps on quarterly results.
Sirius said ARPU rose while net sub gains were better in the quarter.
Pandora has been on quite a rise since its latest report last November, gaining about 23 percent over the period. Investors have seen strong sub growth out of the company, with active listeners of 59.2 million in October moving to 62.4 million in November, and 67.1 million in December. Pandora's latest U.S. market share was pegged at 7.19 percent in December, from 6.55 percent in October.
Though competition from Spotify, iTunes, and other outlets remains, investors might be expecting some big results when fourth-quarter 2013 results are released in early March. Shares are up 1.8 percent on the session.
