Hartford Financial Services (NYSE: HIG) CEO Liam McGee is said to be recovering after having a brain tumor removed.
The insurer said that McGee would be having "low-dose" chemotherapy "in abundance of caution."
McGee plans to return to work on January 14th. Shares of Hartford ended 0.7 percent lower Friday.
