Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 12/31: (GM) (RDN) (QIHU) High; (LNET) (TEVA) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) $28.50. GM still riding the positive wave from its multibillion buyback from the U.S. Treasury announced in December. Shares are up nearly 12 percent since the announcement.

  • Radian Group (NYSE: RDN) high of $6.23. Radian Group is keeping the momentum going today as it moved confidently above the $6 level. Many stocks are aiming for a deal in fiscal cliff negotiations. A positive outcome would be good for consumers, the economy, and, most importantly for Radian, home values.

  • Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) high of $29.59. Qihoo higher on chatter over a possible deal with Google China in 2013. Nothing has been confirmed by either party so far.

  • Alon USA Energy, Inc. (NYSE: ALJ) high of $18.05. Alon ripping higher today, up over 19 percent to the new mark, as Goldman Sachs started coverage on the stock at Buy with a $21 price target. For more on the coverage, click here.
52-Week Low:
  • LodgeNet Interactive (Nasdaq: LNET) low of $0.04. LodgeNet entered into an agreement with Colony Capital for a $60 million infusion to support a recapitalization. The transaction will be implemented through an expedited Chapter 11 bankruptcy process, at the conclusion of which the Colony Syndicate would become the controlling stockholder of the Company.

  • Teva Pharmaceutical (NYSE: TEVA) low of $36.63. Teva inching lower today after a sell-off for most of December. Last Friday, Mylan (Nasdaq: MYL) announced filing an ANDA for the generic version of Teva's Nordette 28 Tablets.
