Rite Aid (RAD) Tops Q3 EPS by 10c; Comps Fell 1.5%; Adjusts FY13 Outlook

Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD) reported Q3 EPS of $0.07, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenue for the quarter came in at $6.24 billion versus the consensus estimate of $6.28 billion.

Same store sales for the quarter decreased 1.5 percent over the prior year 13-week period, consisting of a 1.1 percent increase in front end sales offset by a 2.7 percent decrease in pharmacy sales.

Rite Aid sees FY2013 EPS of $-0.05-0.03, versus the consensus of $-0.15. Rite Aid sees FY2013 revenue of $25.15-25.30 billion, versus the consensus of $25.36 billion.
