Jefferies Lifts PT on JDS Uniphase (JDSU), Upbeat after Silicon Valley Visits

Jefferies boosted its price target on Buy-rated JDS Uniphase (NASDAQ: JDSU) from $13 to $16 following Silicon Valley visits

The firm also raised its price targets on Hold-rated Harmonic Inc. (NASDAQ: HLIT) from $4.25 to $5 and Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ: FNSR) from $13.50 to $14.

"We recently visited several companies in our research universe (JDSU, FNSR, and HLIT). Our visits increased our confidence that the capital spending environment will improve in 2013; we continue to see JDSU as the best play on this trend," the analyst commented.

"Our confidence is increasing that key new products such as Packet Portal present meaningful earnings upside to the JDSU story. We're also "sensing" that Gesture Recognition may be due for a resurgence in the near-to intermediate-term."
