Stocks Crossing 50-Day SMA 12/13: (P) (ZAGG) (RSH) Above; ((MET) (HES) (LLY) Below

December 13, 2012 3:40 PM EST
Crossing and above:
  • Pandora (NYSE: P) - up 3.0 percent. Moving back above the $8.50 level Thursday. Notably, the 20-day SMA got below the 50-day during the middle of October, kind of like a mini "Death Cross."

  • Zagg (Nasdaq: ZAGG) - up 9.7 percent. Moving higher after announcing a $10 million buyback ahead of the bell this morning.

  • RadioShack (NYSE: RSH) - up 4.0 percent. Over the last few months, shares have flattened somewhat. In fact, RadioShack is on a four-session run, looking for a fifth winner today. The stock recently bounced off of a annual low at $1.90, retested the range slightly, and is now 15 percent above it.
Crossing and below:
  • MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) - down 2.3 percent. Lower as it expects fourth-quarter and 2012 results to the low-end of guidance and also sees fiscal 2013 EPS below expectations.

  • Hess Corp. (NYSE: HES) - down 0.1 percent. Pulling back a little following a 2.9 percent rise Wednesday. Shares have been trapped in a range of $48 to $51 over the last month or so and appears ready to get right back in that range based on today's movement.

  • Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY) - down 1.6 percent. Lower as it announced it would stop one of three Phase 3 rheumatoid arthritis (RA) registration studies of tabalumab, an anti-BAFF monoclonal antibody, due to insufficient efficacy.
