Netflix (NFLX) Issues List of Top ISPs in the U.S.; Guess Who Beat AT&T (T)?

Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) released a list of top ISPs in the U.S. yesterday. Ranking at the top was Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Fiber, which is available in approximately two cities and they're both named Kansas City. (No, that's not a joke; there's a Kansas City in Missouri and Kansas, which are conveniently located right next to each other.) The average speed for Netflix streams was 2.55 megabits per second (MBPS).

Verizon's (NYSE: VZ) FiOS came in second at 2.19 mbps, Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) third at .17 mbps (if you can keep it from crashing, we assume), Charter Communications (Nasdaq: CHTR) at 2.17 mbps, Cablevision (NYSE: CVC) at 2.15 mbps, Mediacom at 2.14 mbps, Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) at 2.12 mbps, BrightHouse at 2.12 mbps, Cox Communications at 2.07 mbps, and Suddenlink at 2.06.

AT&T (NYSE: T) was number 11 at 1.94 mbps.

Is there really a huge difference between 2.19 and 1.94 mbps? We're not sure, but it sure beats dial-up speeds of yesteryear.
