No one can really argue that Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) has a great set of products. That is, if they still work following an update.
According to AppleInsider, citing comments on its website thread as well as on the Apple Support Communities Website, those upgrading the iOS software on Apple TV have made the device a fancy paperweight.
Some outcomes include Apple TV having a blinking light and no display, or that the device wouldn't be able to connect to a home network. Given the heavy reliance for Apple TV on streaming content, that make the device useless as well.
The latest update, version 5.1, started causing problems in September. Users have said that manually downloading Apple TV software could be a possible fix.
Apple shares are in negative territory Tuesday.
