Is the name Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN) or Amazin.Shipments? We can't tell and today's news isn't helping.
According to a release earlier, Amazon will begin shipping its Kindle Fire HD tablet today, which is five-days earlier than previously expected (Amazon's website has Kindle Fire HD orders shipping on December 3rd "due to popular demand"). In addition, the Kindle Fire HD will be available at Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) starting Friday, with retailers like RadioShack (NYSE: RSH) and Staples (Nasdaq: SPLS) in a few weeks. The 4G version of the Kindle Fird HD -- which starts at $499 -- will be shipping next week, Amazon noted.
Pricing on the Kindle Fire HD is in-line at $299/tablet.
Ahead of the bell, Amazon and Best Buy are winners, while Staples is lower and RadioShack is flat.
