Samsung may not be putting the screws to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), as previously reported.
According to reports from Seoul-based newspaper The Hankyor, as noted by TechCrunch, an unnamed Samsung official said that pricing between the two is set at the start of each year and any sudden, dramatic price hikes aren't even possible given these arrangements. That's not to say prices can't go up when the contract date is up.
Shares of AAPL are up 0.4 percent intra-day, improving slightly since the report.
