Superior Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: SPN) reported Q3 EPS of $0.59, $0.07 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.18 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.2 billion.

Superior Energy Services, Inc. sees Q4 2012 EPS of $0.48-0.52, versus the consensus of $0.50.

Mr. Dunlap commented, "We anticipate the rate of activity decline in the U.S. will ease from third quarter levels as we believe the market has already absorbed the steepest reductions in customer activity and associated rig count changes.
