Nokia's (NOK) Lumia 920 Prices Favorably to Main Rivals; Shares Tick Higher

Chatter over pricing on Nokia's (NYSE: NOK) upcoming flagship smartphone is heating up today.
According to TheVerge, Best Buy (NYSE: BBY) has priced the Lumia 920 at $149.99 with two-year contract. The Lumia 920 will be available exclusively on AT&T's (NYSE: T) network initially.
Conversely, Best Buy priced the rival smartphone from HTC, its 8X, at $99.99 with two-year contract.
Without a contract, both of the devices are priced at $599.99.
Preorders on both devices were open today, through Nokia's Lumia 920 appears not to be now. Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) will release Windows Phone 8 on October 29th.
Though Nokia's pricing is 50 percent higher than HTC, the Lumia 920 will still come in below rivals Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) and Samsung, whose prices for the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S III are $199.99 each with two-year contracts.
Shares of Nokia are indicated higher Monday morning, up over 3 percent ahead of the bell.
