IBM (IBM) Said to Acquire Mobile Management Software Firm Red Bend in $250M Deal

International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE: IBM) is said to be acquiring Israel-based mobile management software firm Red Bend Software, according to calcalist.co.il today.
Purchase price on the deal is about $250 million.
Red Bend has about a 71 percent market share in Israel for the software management segment for mobile phones and connected devices.
Red Bend partners include names like Samsung ,Dell (Nasdaq: DELL), HTC, ASUStek, and others.
IBM has worked with Red Bend in the past, integrating its Software Management Center into PureApplication and PureFlex systems.
Shares of IBM are lower Thursday morning.
