Oppenheimer maintained an Outperform rating on Chemed (NYSE: CHE) and increased its price target to $80.00 (from $75.00). Chemed operates two wholly owned subsidiaries, Vitas Healthcare and RotoRooter.

After attending a meeting with Chemed management, analysts said they continue to believe Chemed remains an attractive stock to own heading into '13.

"On the hospice side, the business remains well positioned, as reimbursement risks remain low, particularly as lawmakers look for ways to control healthcare costs. Meanwhile, Roto-Rooter continues to provide solid cash flow, which could be applied toward future acquisitions," said analyst Michael Wiederhorn.
