US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE: LCC) announced September, quarter and year-to-date 2012 traffic results. Mainline revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month were 5.0 billion, up 1.8 percent versus September 2011. Mainline capacity was 5.9 billion available seat miles (ASMs), up 0.9 percent versus September 2011. Mainline passenger load factor was a record 84.4 percent for the month of September, up 0.8 points versus September 2011.
For the month of September, US Airways' preliminary on-time performance as reported to the U.S. Department of Transportation was 87.3 percent with a completion factor of 99.6 percent.
