Juniper (JNPR) Makes Riverbed (RVBD) Provider of Choice for WAN Optimization

Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) and Riverbed Technology (Nasdaq: RVBD) announced that Juniper has endorsed Riverbed as Juniper's provider of choice for wide area network (WAN) optimization solutions. Under this endorsement, Riverbed is offering a trade-in program for customers who have purchased Juniper Networks WX and WXC Series Application Acceleration Platforms to migrate and upgrade to the Riverbed Steelhead product family. In coordination with Juniper Networks, the trade-in program helps customers who have purchased Juniper Networks WX/WXC Series Application Acceleration Platforms migrate and upgrade to the Riverbed Steelhead product family.

This announcement follows a previously announced technology partnership between the two companies in WAN optimization, application delivery and mobility to deliver market-leading technologies for enterprises looking to increase the efficiency of their IT infrastructures and securely deliver better performance of applications across devices, networks and clouds.
